6th Annual Forensic Nursing Conference

 “Child Abuse: The Evidence Base for Evaluation,

Treatment & Prevention”  

 

 

The 6th Annual Forensic Nursing Conference will: 1) Apply a public health model of care to child abuse detection, prevention and treatment; 2) Incorporate the evidence for promising and best practice methods into the care of victimized children and 3) Examine strategies to integrate a developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive approach to client centered care.

 

This year's speakers include: 

Diana K. Faugno, RN, MSN, CPN, FAAFS, SANE-A nationally known forensic examiner,

Kathleen C. Gaffney, MSN, PMHCNS, PNP-BC, UTHSC Psychiatric/Mental Health Faculty,

Christopher S. Greeley, MD, FAAP Associate Professor of Pediatrics, University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston,

Michael Holt, Lieutenant for the Criminal Investigations Division with the City of Jackson, TN Police Department,

Robert Laurino, JD, Chief Assistant Prosecutor with Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Newark, NJ

Elizabeth Rudolph, JD, MSN, RN, Cochran Law Firm, Memphis, TN

 

Continuing Education Credit: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing Continuing Education Program is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
